Controls:
Throttle: Throttle
Yaw: Yaw
Bank: Bank
Pitch: Pitch
Trim: Trim
Top Speed: ~135 mph.
For best performance, use only on Low Physics and fly the aircraft gently.
Flying the Aircraft
To commence takeoff procedures, increase the throttle to 100%.
Use small amounts of correctional yaw to remain on a straight course down the runway.
Once the back wheel of the aircraft has departed from the ground, gently pull up.
Do not engage in any combative or aggressive maneuvers at low speeds and or altitudes. Doing so will result in the total loss of control of the aircraft.
For landing, aim the nose of the aircraft at the runway. Once the aircraft is ~15 ft. above the ground, cut the throttle and butter the landing.
Historical Information
From Wikipedia:
“The DFW T.28 Floh (English: Flea) was a small German biplane fighter prototype designed by Hermann Dorner and built by Deutsche Flugzeug-Werke. Designed in 1915 as high-speed fighter, the Floh had a small wingspan and a rather ungainly tall and thin fuselage. With a fixed conventional landing gear the Floh was powered by a Mercedes D.I inline piston engine, and on its first flight in December 1915 reached 180 km/h. The aircraft suffered from very poor forward visibility and was difficult to land due to its narrow landing gear. The prototype crashed during the flight testing program.”
