Do not touch VTOL setting! Use throttle, and pitch and roll control: Gentle Liftoff (rolling) at 170 MPH. Or you'll bang the tail. Normal cruise at about 250 MPH. I'm being the guinea pig here with those huge Walrus rotors (they act like a small wing, but give no vertical in the helicopter sense).
