AirPan NK-12R
AirPan NK-12R is a upgrade of AirPan NK-12 tanker aircraft, which in turn is a derivative of AirPan P-12 airliner. The most visible changes is the replacement of Bull-Armstrongs TF-61 engine with Rolls-Royce RB211 engine and a "smiling" air intake in the nose. Because of the engine used this plane was nicknamed "Dasukhya", an Nidian cartoon character from a film of the same name. The first converted aircraft (actually the first P-12 that entered service and later transferred to Nide Air Force) entered service in 1998. NK-12R's in service are slowly replaced by Boeing NK-446 Pegasus(KC-46), because of the high cost to operate these aircraft in recent years. In total there are 121 airframe converted out of 189 original NK-12 produced
