The La-5 was one of the first fighters to see a heavy radial engine mounted to a combat-proven airframe that still maintained low drag - A triumph of Russian aeronautical engineering. The modification of 'FN fuel injection' created an excellent dogfighter, although poorly armed with accurate but weak cannons.

Beautiful build! Will the spitfire mk. XIV be the one with the bubble canopy and clipped wings? I think that’s the FR version. Looking forward to future builds!

@MethaManAircraft You'll see a tempest V in around a month, maybe earlier. Will definitely consider that colour scheme! Looks deadly

@Weaverfish Your planes are great! And your style is just the perfect compromise of detail, accuracy and performance! have you ever thought of doing a Tempest V in the colours of Clostermans 'Grand Charles'? I think it would be a great build.

@Mainblocks Using overload mod, select gun, open overload window, go to 'gun' press the + button and add damage (lowercase) in the box next to it add the damage value.

I think the default damage value is something like 35.

Also keep in mind every time a bullet is fired from the gun it has a small chance of dealing double or half damage.

@Weaverfish Got a question, how do you managed to edit the guns proprieties like that ? Whit the damages ? Because i can edit the volicity, the spread and others things but not the damage done.

@Tazziedevil04 The short answer is that I just hate repeating myself
    ,
    ,
I could give each aircraft the same red or yellow identification colours on the nose/tail, but it's more interesting to explore other options. This is the most popular colour scheme for LA-5's early on the war, but since I've already used this paint scheme for my mig-3 I wanted to try something else.
    ,
    ,
Russians are pretty unique in their colour schemes because they use unusual colours for their identifications. Where most of the world just used yellow or red or white, Russia used purples, maroons & cyans.
    ,
    ,
This la-5fn is a combination of this late war grey colour scheme and this blue identification colour. I just feel like the result looks unique but still sticks to the historical roots.
    ,
    ,
If you wanna download the AI version of this plane, the colour scheme is based of this - which is the colour scheme used by the top russian fighter ace of the war, I think he was called Kozhedub. Links to AI versions are always in the description of my stuff

@Sarpanitu strange, it should fly level at 1k at max speed. Nice idea to fix it though. @Mainblocks go nuts!
