VMA/PZ-00 Proto-Zenith

615 FarenhiteGR64  2.7 years ago

One of the one hundred products born from Project Zenith, the AMFB-00, also known under its development codename, VCZ-00, represents the pinnacle of the seventh generation of air dominance fighters and the efforts of the ADI North America's Branch aeronautical development team.

Built from reversed engineered technology seized from an ever changing conflict zone and existing cutting edge flight systems, the Astraeus I features forward swept wings, canards, an adaptive mobility and stability assistance system (AMSAS), custom cockpit avionics complete with flight telemetry systems, and a pair of unique, ultra-high output turbojet-rocket, thrust vectoring hybrid engines to provide the platform with mobility far and away exceeding those of its peers.

In addition to its inhuman manoeuvrability, the weapons integrated within the airframe as well as the interchangeable armaments loaded on its wings rivals that of a large scale airborne battalion - the combined gun system features a pair of large caliber rail cannons mounted on the underside of the frame, four rapid fire explosive autocannons mounted on the wings and a large aperture plasma cannon located on the center of the aircraft, which are all linked to a central FCS housed within the cockpit itself.

It also features a vast selection of missiles as well, including four rapid fire micro missile launchers, high velocity kinetic missiles, guided nuclear standoff missiles, and a unique anti-surface remote parachute bombardment pod. Owing to Project Zenith's fail-deadly design philosophies, these munitions can be armed to self destruct at the pilot's discretion.

Lastly, the airframe itself features an advanced electronic warfare suite that allows the electronic support and control of accompanying UAVs, the seamless data transfer between allied fighters and airborne carriers, and the ceaseless jamming of hostile electronic systems. Other features include an arresting and catapult hook for carrier operations, and a VTOL system that improves stability.
