BAE Nimrod MRA.4 v3

Auto Credit Based on GhostHTX's BAE Nimrod MRA.4

In the great tradition of the RAF, I am repairing, mending and making do. I am also re purposing, being artful with a side order of cunning and making things do things that were never meant to do things in the first place...

Anyway - controls...

AG1 - Drop flares. All nine of them. I ran out of action groups... These flares are in the aft section of the weapons bay, so you might want to open that first...
AG2 + VTOL down drops flaps. I have duly noted that flaps in SP seem to do the opposite of flaps in the real world. Funny that... Only to be used during landing, as big barn door type air brakes...
AG3 - Drop Sonobuoy 1 - press again to detach parachute once it was splashed down.
AG4 - Same as AG3, but for Sonobuoy 2.
AG5 - Lights
AG6 - drop Harpoon 1 and activate engine
AG7 - drop Harpoon 2 and activate engine
AG8 - VTOL down opens the bay door, it also lowers the AGM cradle

Camera 1 - Port Wing SAR camera
Camera 2 - Sonobuoy 1 view
Camera 3 - Sonobuoy 2 view
Camera 4 - Ventral SAR camera / ventral inspection camera
Camera 5 - Weapons Bay Inspection Camera
Camera 6 - Harpoon 1
Camera 7 - Harpoon 2

This is now well over 400 parts and I can see steam coming out of my iPhone when running it, by itself, with LOW settings on everything except physics (that is set to medium). Needless to say that I'm not going to add anything more to this old girl.

Oh, and I say flares, but in reality they are a collection of small parts re purposed to make light whilst falling on a parachute. Everything here is 100% mod free, apart from some scaled bombs that I got from that lovely Native Chief fellow for his bomber challenge.

Have fun and many thanks again for gold, guys.

@GhostHTX You're right Ghost at the time I was really hungry for upvotes and I was building for others instead of myself. I guess I've never been good at doing things for my own accomplishment. Long story short, I felt like my builds weren't getting the recognition they deserved (when I say that out loud I feel really stupid).
But I've found out that I just need to keep experimenting, and what you've written is quite inspirational and I will try to take into account.
Thanks for the help and feedback. But I'm kinda confused why you didn't write this on the feed I made XD. Oh well, guess it doesn't matter.

    @JettStorm Cheers!
I read your thread a while back about how to get more upvotes and was thinking; you shouldn't be building just for the upvotes. If you're building simply for attention from others, then you aren't going to be engaged enough in the subject material or in your modeling to really do something special.

Heck, I've put out things that have received zero upvotes, or one or two. It wasn't really an issue for me because I build stuff for me - the models I want to play around with and the features I want to have. I get as much satisfaction in building the bloody things and getting them to work properly as I do flying them around and blowing stuff up.

My advice would be to pick something that you are really enthusiastic about - if making replicas is your thing, pick a particular aeroplane, research it and really learn about it. If you just want to build something cool, try to add some advanced features and think of it like a special research project, for example, making a working VTOL aircraft, a helicopter, something with a working bomb bay, or working flaps, or even thrust vectoring, if you like the fiddly hingey rotatory things.

You have made some really nice models, and that is a good start - just keep building and trying new things.

I can't say much for mods like fine tuner, as I build on an iPhone, but if they help then great - try those out. But they are by no means a "must have" to build cool planes and I think people forget that sometimes.

Sorry - a bit of a rant, but I just wanted to give you the benefit of my experience so far.

@GhostHTX Checking the newest section has its perks I guess. Besides, this monster of a build is amazing!
