The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 is my favorite plane, but it was involved in countless accidents. It has a working gear, and it looks accurate.

Fact: During the period of 70's, The DouglasCommercial-10 was recently Introduced. Airlines were trying to cut corners in the maintainance of the engine: Instead of the Normal and safe way: Removing The engine from the Pylon. Airlines saw it as Expensive, Time consuming, and Too many connections (around 200 of them). They decided to: Remove the Pylon along with the Engine. Now it has only 3 Connections, Less Expensive, and Less Time Consuming. And that led to the crash of AM191.
Fun fact: The DC-10-40 (the model equipped with JT9Ds) has never been involved in an accident
