Yakovlev Yak-23 "Flora"

5.0 years ago
The Yakovlev Yak-23 was an early Soviet jet fighter with a straight wing. It was developed from the Yak-17 in the late 1940s and used a reverse-engineered copy of a British engine. It was not built in large numbers as it was inferior in performance to the swept-wing Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15. This aircraft probably was one of the hardest for me to build, I don't know why. The rudder gave me issues, the landing gear were very difficult. But at last, she's done. The beautiful Yak-23. I did my best with this one, so I hope you guys enjoy it! 1=nav lights 2=landing light VTOL=Flaps G=Gear. Have fun!

Well thankyou for your support. And yes this is a strange aircraft, very beautiful. But you can see how they took one of their later mig prop aircraft and simply glued an engine to it, @Mattvan28
I thought this was fictional at first . I've never heard of this one . I thought I had knowledge of all soviet military aircraft . I guess I'm less informed than I thought i was . Looks awsome.
Wow that sounds quite intense and incredible. Awesome!@Woozyliana
@Hedero im an aircadet so i had to work on the second day and i went on the first and a huge wind storm happened and well i was holding down the arrow as is fiberglass and carbon fiber so the wind was lifting it up so i was stuck holding down a Canadian SUPERSONIC arecraft for 20 minutes
Ok well I might consider making an arrow eventually. I'm trying to figure out what I should build as a mystery project as of right now. But great suggestion. And also the airshow in Canada sounds cool too!@Woozyliana
@Hedero could you try to make avro arrow i know theres a lot of them on this site but i your building skill are amazing and i would love to see you make the arrow. as the avro arrow is such a big part of my life, at the last air show in my town the avro arrow was there with the learjet that they where going to use the engines from. If you ever in Canada Alberta try to visit the spring airport out side for cochrane that where there building the avro arrow. @ me if you want my disc if you want to talk more about the avro arrow project in my home town
but I will create and unlisted post so that I can tell you in private. I just don't want many other people trying to friend her and whatever.@Minecraftpoweer
@Hedero sure
Well I don't want her to feel bombarded by a lot of people. But if I get her perms I'll tell you.@Minecraftpoweer
@Hedero perhaps. I don't know how messy the stuff is, maybe I should try to talk to her too, what's her discord tag thingy.
Well I've been talking to her on discord about it and the situation is very messy. But after talking I've come to realize that maybe completely deleting her account is the best idea. She seems to be getting very damaged from the hate and if deleting her account means that she is happier, than I think it was well worth it. So whatever the case, I think she's doing the right thing.@Minecraftpoweer
I honestly completely agree with you. I said pretty much the same thing in discord about deleting the account was a little overkill. I think it would have been much more reasonable for her and her followers if she simply stayed inactive for however long she needed. But it is her account, her decisions. Also I really appreciate you following me. Thanks!@Minecraftpoweer
Well I asked edensk whether I should keep the page up and he said probably not. I just don't want to take any risks of making her or anybody else annoyed.@Minecraftpoweer
Thanks!@Subnerdica
Nice profile pic!
Thank you!@goboygo1
Beautiful!
Thank you!@JolyLoly
Yep, I couldn't figure out what plane I wanted to build. So I figured I would just remaster the old one.@Cobrahuey
Thank you trainzo! Glad you can see improvement!@Trainzo
Bery nice build . Great plane . The progress of your work is impressive .
Blyatiful!
Oh wow! This is better than the first one!
Thank you so much! I guess I should probably add "flora" to the name then.@AircraftoftheRedStar
Very well done. Exceptional recreation of the “Flora”.
