@Kendog84 Oh that’s an even cooler idea! Nah no ideas from me. Like you, I want these things in game.
@OrderlyHippo
Nah, I haven't done anything with the idea. I still think it or a working refuel station would be a cool thing to have, though. Got any new idea for it?
Also, have you checked DarDragon's KC-10 by the way?

It's a bit tricky to work with, but it works. Really cool proof of concept.
I think with some modifications, you can make it maintain a certain altitude, follow you, and circle over you when you are landed. This way you don't have to spawn the thing everywhere you go. I have my hands full to do anything with either of these at the moment, but I think these are both worth pursuing as player-build techs.
@Kendog84 Did you ever build that refuel truck you were talking about?
Honestly, this could be built a lot better. I probably won’t bother with it. But you could have giant buttons that the plane rolls over to raise and lower the probe very slowly. Then ahead of that, there’s the refuel probe appears. Then after x seconds of pumping fuel (using rate(Fuel) and some time function), the probe moves out of the way and you roll away without having to reverse at any time.
.
Downside is it must be used on smooth ground
@Kendog84 That sounds hard…
I think a refueler (static like this, or otherwise) can be combined with 11qazxc's waypoint system based ground vehicle. (Check it out if you haven't yet, it's full of potential (and many practical) applications).
With some kind of trigger system--maybe a missile on your aircraft to aggro the refueler, so it targets you (so it gains informations about your coords etc. via funky trees)--plus a rotator "pressure plate" that you can shoot with 0 damage wing gun, to let it "know" you need refueling. Yeah... seems possible
