Regional Aircraft Challenge
Hello and Welcome to the Regional Carrier Challenge!!
I know there have been a ton of challenges lately, but why not throw another one on the heap? I'm looking for the best regional aircraft out there, and I want to see what the Simpleplanes community has up its sleeves. What do you think the best regional carrier craft is?
What is a Regional Aircraft you ask? Well, Wikipedia defines it as: A regional airliner or a feederliner is a small airliner that is designed to fly up to 100 passengers on short-haul flights, usually feeding larger carriers' airline hubs from small markets. This class of airliners are typically flown by the regional airlines that are either contracted by or subsidiaries of the larger airlines. Regional airliners are used for short trips between smaller towns or from a larger city to a smaller city. Feederliner, commuter, and local service are all alternative terms for the same class of flight operations.

-ENTRY MUST BE A SUCCESSOR TO THIS POST If not, I will have final say on whether or not outside builds will be accepted.
Judging
Design: Does the plane look good? Have you spent some time putting it together? If Replica, Does it match the real deal for size and scale? Have you included details like liveries/doors/windows/etc. (15 Points)
Performance: Does the plane perform in a realistic manner? If a replica, does the performance match the real deal? Same top speed/flight characteristics? (15 Points)
Air Route I will be testing these planes on a run from the Wright Airfield to the Northern Wright Island. Can your build make it from one landing strip to the other and back again? Make sure you have enough Fuel for a round trip!! (10 Points)
Presentation How much detail is in your description? Have you thoroughly explained your plane and its history? Have you explained its flight specifications? Have you included all three screenshots? Have you explained the controls? (10 Points)
Your aircraft will be scored out of 50 Points

Advice
Be sure to spend some time on your build. The rules are simple enough and with a little research you can find almost every detail about almost every plane. If you are doing a replica, be sure to find a orthographical drawing of your plane that includes some measurements or a scale. Ive found that to be extremely helpful when looking for accuracy in your builds. Interiors are not required but if you do include one it may get you an extra point. Extra details are highly encouraged. Do not be intimidated by some of the builds. I hope this challenge will push everyone's boundaries and help improve your builds.
Thank you all for stopping by to look, and I hope to see your planes soon!!

Huh, you did. Sorry! I missed it. I got second prize, too! Yay me! @Sgtk
@GhostHTX it did. The results were posted in the forums I believe. Did I not tag you?
Did this contest ever get judged?
Excellent! @Sgtk
@GhostHTX Yes. Grading the last this week. I am aiming for a Thursday announcement.
Any word, old boy? @Sgtk
@PancakeAddiction Hopefully I can have them all reviewed by this weekend
@PancakeAddiction Hopefully I can have them all reviewed by this weekend
May i ask when you’ll reveal the winners?
@Delphinos til midnight May 5
Sorry we miss this, and is it still open?
Ok. Im in.
@PancakeAddiction Yes you can
Can we enter more then 1 aircraft? Cause i really want to change the way my entry handles...
@Sgtk don't get your hopes up too high. Airframe is a little dodgy and the windows look a little naff but it'll hopefully all work well.
@MEERKAT978 Can't wait to see!!
I've reviewed my design and restarted work on it. Got the landing gear working again, just working on that (b!!!!!!) nose and cockpit, though I think I'll sack that off in favour of more details elsewhere.
I will submit my BaE Systems A-35 ‘countenance’ (you will need to copy, paste the link). https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/151KQ3/BaE-Systems-A-35-countenance-Regional-Aircraft-Challenge
Rip...I can't download th is sign, I have an older version of SimplePlanes and I can't get the newer versions
@Sgtk ok
@Logotrax Okay, that is how I thought it worked, thank you.
@MEERKAT978 I think its a good start. Don't get yourself down. Take a break, but keep at it. You can do it!!
@Sgtk This aircraft was going to be my entry, styled off of a BaE 146. You'll quickly see why I've canned it. Cant build a cockpit that looks right for it, custom gear didn't work right so I had to try and improvise with standard... the list goes on.
@MEERKAT978 Don't give up!! There is still plenty of time to submit a project. Take your time. I'm sure your plane will look great!!
Deal me out on this one, in fact. My current attempt at an entry is 51 parts, and is utterly atrocious to look at and to fly.
I think I'm best sticking to... I don't know.
