The Mk 17 mine is an airdropped mine to be deployed via cluster munitions pack. It is designed as a light antipersonnel mine which can be used for area denial, and is assisted by the unpowered rotor to slow its descent. This mine was extensively used by the Pilotmario Air Force during the Third Olympian War and the ongoing War of Three Nations. Unfortunately, the mine's durability ensured that it would deny the area not only to military forces, but also civilians. As the scatter of these mines are essentially random, it is very difficult to find and disarm them, leading to numerous civilian casualties long after the guns fall silent. To detonate, fire a rocket.
