Douglas F3D SkyKnight
The USN needed an all weather night fighter at the end of WW2 and put out a specification that was met by the Douglas Aircraft Company with the SkyKnight. Built around the complex and cumbersome Westinghouse air search radar the plane wasn't fast or that agile but still performance well enough over Korea to prove itself useful with a fifteen nil score card. With the addition of first generation AIM7 Sparrow missiles the plane was capable of the first real BVR combat missions and saw limited service in the Sky's over Vietnam. This replica is too scale, carries 4 x AIM7 missiles and has folding wing tips and is as stable a missile platform as you could hope for. Enjoy the flight (I haven't tried her on or off the carriers).
Group 6 unlocks the wing tips.

I love how this is the Sparrow testbed F3D And I love it! Just improve on the missile firing power, The missiles just go 30-50 yards in front of you and the will slow down and come straight at you, they pose a threat to hit the fuselage or the wing of the aircraft. I got a Modded detacher you can use for it.
