Realistic helicopter test

A test of a helicopter that gains it's lift only from the rotor blades while the VTOL nozzles only provide lift.
To take off set throttle to full (the blades may sometimes rip off so just try reatarting a few times.) then activate group 1 and control altitude with the VTOL slider.
Group 2 to fire weapons.
Altitude and yaw are working very good but other controls are very weird.
Maybe in the future I will try using cyclic controls, but right now this is what I've got...

5,521 Verdnan@Yuvalk my tricopter uses the same rotor design, but my other helicopters use coaxial rotor system. I found that single rotors suffered from retreating blade stall and there seems no otherway around it. I also can't believe the anti-torque rotor doesn't make this thing unstable. All mine sure were. But I get what you mean about the cycle and I will give you credit. :)9.7 years ago

566 Yuvalk@Verdnan controls are really bad here, I've tried to use a configuration that works the best regardless of realistic or not. Real helicopters do not use such mechanism but a mechanism that changes the pitch of the rotors called "cyclic control". That helicopter was more like a test to see if I can use your tricopter's rotors on a heavy helicopter. And yes, you can use anything from any of my planes as long as you don't claim the ideas as your own.9.7 years ago

5,521 VerdnanFirst let me just say I like how you hide everything within the fuselage. Really good idea there, I'd like to do this in my copter if you don't mind? But the controls appear to be backwards. Its like you are trying to compensate for gyroscopic pressesion that doesn't exist in SP.9.7 years ago
