Eurocopter EC120B Colibri (AURI) "The Dynamic Pegassus"
The Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) EC120 Colibri (Hummingbird) was a five-seat, single-engine, light utility helicopter. Jointly designed and developed by Eurocopter, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), Harbin Aviation Industries (Group) Ltd (HAIG) and Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (STAero) at Eurocopter France's Marignane facility, the EC120B was assembled by Eurocopter in France and Australia.
Service in 7th Aerial Squadron AURI
The 7th Air Squadron abbreviated (7th Squadron) is the Helicopter Air Squadron under the Suryadarma Air Force Command, Subang Regency, West Java. Previously, the 7th Air Squadron was under the control of the Atang Senjaya Air Base and in accordance with KASAU Decree Number: SKEP / 19 / XI / 1990 dated 20 November 1990 concerning the position of the 7th Air Squadron, then officially starting from 1 January 1991, the 7th Air Squadron was inside the ranks of the Kalijati Air Force Base (now Lanud Suryadarma), with the strength of Bell 204 Iroquis, Bell 47G Sioux, Bell 47G Soloy (modified Bell 47G Sioux) and EC 120B Colibri. [1] After Wing Ops 004 was disbanded, Skadud 7 received an additional task to carry out a helicopter pilot school education commonly known as the Helicopter Flight Introduction Course (KPTH) until now and the aircraft used was the Bell 47-G Soloy which is a modification of the Bell 47 3B1 Sioux type aircraft . In addition to supporting its main tasks the Squadron also has an EC-120 B Colibri helicopter.
