LandingGear opens crew hatches. The Paternian Defense Industries M55 Ardent II Expeditionary Tank is a Paternian expeditionary tank, developed in response to rival developments by other nations. The M55 Ardent II features a 3-man crew, all in the hull, with a commander, gunner and driver position. The crew of three is present for efficiency, as it can be theoretically crewed by a single crewmember. This is because the commander, gunner, and driver stations are identical, a feature taken from the M23 Chariot main battle tank. The main weapons turret is completely unmanned, and sports a 120mm M9A2 smoothbore cannon with an ETC breech, fed by an automatic loader. It is fully amphibious, propelled by a pair of propeller. It is protected against HEAT rounds, autocannon up to 40mm, and can bring down missiles with the Trapdoor APS.

And the turret was inspired by the Leopard 2A5, with the hull loosely inspired by the PL-01.
