The Dornier Do-31f is a German military V/STOL Transport aircraft, designed to ferry troops and supplies to the front lines or evacuate wounded. This aircraft, 16+45, with its distinctive nose art, was flown during the 2023 German - Greek war, delivering supplies and evacuating casualties.
After sustaining large amounts of damage, it managed to land at a nearby airstrip before being flown to NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen. The aircraft did not fly any more combat missions as the damage was extensive and repairs took until the final weeks of the war.
