This is my entry for EternalDarkness's Air Defence Challenge _____________ Backstory (Purely fictional, not meant to offend anyone) Winter 1989. The communists have taken over the Middle East with them having complete air superiority. All eyes fall to Greece, with the country being the last obstacle for the communists to enter Europe. GR.S.A has started research on a powerful missile capable of hitting even the fastest jets, but is lacking in funding and researchers. The west backs up GR.S.A and Greece together with West Germany, Great Britain, the U.S.A and Italy create the greatest missile the world has ever seen, capable of taking down an SR-71 Blackbird with a single hit. Now, the only thing remaining was a chassis to mount it on. GR.S.A again with the backing of these 5 countries created a Self-Propelled System. The system featured a 700hp engine, capable of moving the 18.5-ton vehicle up to 100km/h, featuring a radar that can detect and lock on an aircraft that’s over 10km away and even featured offices for the operation of the missiles system. The system entered service across the Europe and the western world in the mid-1994, preventing successfully 30 attempts of airstrike from the communists within the span of 5 years. When the Soviet Union finally collapsed in the end of 2000, the A1530 was used across the world. In 2015, the Self-Propelled system went out of service, but the missile itself is used even today. ________________ Controls AG1 : Night lights AG2 : Indicators AG3 : Indicators AG4 : Warning lights AG4 + LandingGear : The “legs” extend AG4 + Trim : The Missile system traverses horizontally AG4 + VTOL : The Missile system traverses vertically Pitch : Accelerate/Reverse Roll : Steering Brakes : Brakes
