IJN Shimakaze was a unique destroyer made by the Imperial Japanese Navy in WW2, a lengthened Yugumo destroyer class to fit 15 torpedoes in 3 quintuple launchers, but incredibly high speeds of 40 knots thanks to an experimental steam turbine system.
I bring to you my take on the mighty Shimakaze with a twist- trying to keep detail high but staying right at 1,234 parts. It includes some aiming assistance on not only the dual-purpose 12.7cm guns in Type D mounts, but also the 3 21 inch torpedo turrets. While I do like realism, part of the fun in building this was having a fun ship that I could use torpedoes with. Thus, you can toggle between "realism" and "arcade" modes with a push of AG8 - the features of both will be explained below.

I think this an awesome ship. Although the torpedoes… and it would be nice for some instructions for the buttons
Really love the attention to detail but the only problem it that the torpedoes keeps going in circles instead of straight lines.
Interesting build. More interesting for me is how you generate the black and white line arts? Do you use other programs?
