Reworked Hawk-"Island Hopper" (Sea-Plane)
----Credit for plane design goes to Skua---
This is my vision of what the Hawk would look like if it were more of a luxury island hopping toy for the uber-wealthy than an acrobatic aircraft. It's a more mellow plane for low altitude cruising. Changes include:
1: Lengthened wingspan and transition to flat-bottom wings for low speed cruising
2: Added Pitch to main wings for lift control at lower speeds
3: Shrunk Roll surface on main wings to make for mellower/ lower sensitivity turning
4: Added proper bouyancy to convert to a Sea-Plane
5: Added fuselage bouyes at tips of wings that house relocated landing gear.
6: Tinkered with fuel balance to account for above changes
7: Repainted to darker red for more relaxed appearance
8: Reworked control surfaces on rear horizontal stabilizers.
-Take off at 200mph from sea or land (sea recommended) at 80-90% pitch. Landing on land is a tad tricky due to short distance between landing gear and fuselage, but doable. Plane has a slight hop when landing on sea at high speeds I have yet to figure out.
And that's about it. Hope you guys enjoy, and as always any critique is welcome on wether you liked my rework or not, and why.
