IRIS-T (air to air missile)
IRIS-T (Infra Red Imaging System Tail/Thrust Vector-Controlled) is a German-led program to develop short-range infrared air-to-air missiles to replace the AIM-9 Sidewinder found in several NATO member states. Any aircraft capable of firing Sidewinders are also capable of launching IRIS-T.
