This is a full scale model of the legendary SN8, the 8th prototype of Starship and the first one to do a high altitude test at 12.5 km. Starship is a next generation spaceship from SpaceX that will likely send humans to the Moon and Mars.
Controls:
Throttle: Rocket Motor Thrust
Pitch: Rocket Motor Pitch / Drag control Surfaces Pitch
Roll: Rocket Motor Yaw / Drag control Surfaces Roll
Yaw: Drag Control Surfaces Yaw
AG1: Drag Control surfaces Activation
AG2: Gyroscope
Landing Gear: Landing Legs
Instructions:
- Take off using throttle and Gear up.
- You can use pitch and roll to control the vehicle (the rocket motors are steerable) or press AG2 to activate the gyroscopes in order to climb stable.
3.Turn off the engines at your desired altitude.
4.deactivate AG2 if it has been activated .
5.Activate AG1 in order to activate the control surfaces. - While in free fall try to position Starship horizontally, bear in mind that the control surfaces work as air brakes in order to control the ship so it may take a while to get used to this approach.
- While at about 1.000 m. activate AG2 to brig the ship back up vertically, Gear Down and play with the throttle in order to land the ship safely (remeber, at 9-10% the ship descends with stable speed).
