SeaSpider
The eccentric genus billionaire Baron Von Baron III. Got his hands on the new HydroShock rocket, made some serious upgrades, and gave it a steampunk paint job. Presenting the SeaSpider! To launch from water: Activate AG 1 thru 4 and VTOL down until the rocket is fully vertical then VTOL center and give it full power. To launch from land: wait till rocket rolls to its side and settles. Then activate AG 1 and 3 only and VTOL down. Once the rocket raises itself to vertical launch position VTOL center and give it full power. To splash down: turn off engines and begin to fall. Activate AG 1 thru 4 and VTOL down. The craft can survive up to a 350 mph splashdown but it must dive pretty deep because takes a while to float back to the surface. With all the fins deployed it will slow to around 175 without using the engines. Touchdown on dry land: Possible, but not recommended. Many configurations are possible: AG1 - extend engine booms, AG2 - rotate engines , AG3 - extend spider legs, AG4 - rotate legs, rear fins and pop air brakes. Enjoy! Update: Deepest survived dive so far is 483 ft. Entered water at 330 mph with fins folded. Relaunched with no damage.
