A.54 Skycity (Remodel)
Fine-tuning completed, this is the result so far.. i will go over and add decoration to make her pretty..
A top-to-bottom rebuild of my Skycity. Much bigger and faster, demonstrating realistic proportions. Wright Airport simply isn't big enough, so I have fitted this bird to handle water take-offs and landings. That's not to say she isn't capable to landing and taking off on land. The cockpit-looking thing higher up on her nose would be a lounge / restaurant for her first-class passengers. This bird would have the capacity to carry precisely 4,000 passengers and up to 80 crew personnel.
Please note: since her airbrakes are linked to AG8, they will always deploy when she spawns... un-deploy them before take-off. Also their deployment will cause her to want to roll backward when spawned on land. With all that out of the way, let's get into it.
AG 1 - Turbine fan start-up
AG 2 - Thrust ignition
AG 3 - Runway taxi lights
AG 4 - Anti-collision navigation lights
AG 5 - Take-off lights
AG 6 - Water take-off stabilization thrusters
AG 7 - Reverse thruster
AG 8 - Airbrakes
For take-off on water, set flaps (VTOL) and trim to full down, activate her take-off stabilizers (AG6), and all other groups applicable. Begin full rotation after 270 mph (it will take a bit of time for this part and she will lose a lot of airspeed but she will make it up there). Deactivate her take-off thrusters once in the air.
For water-landings, throttle to 40%, flaps full down and trim to half down. Extend landing gear once landed with her airbrakes and reverse-thruster for a quicker stop. Bringing this beast to a full stop takes time, so try not to land while pointing towards land lol.

@fleia262 No problem, buddy. And I'm glad to hear your training will be over at the end of this week.
@Boeing777x Hey friend. I've been distant from gaming for a while due to work. Recently got a new job that's got me staying out of town for training Monday through Friday, and spending weekends at home. I play off a desktop comp at home, so to my sorrow, finding time to play has been spotty. But yay the training is over at the end of the week cuz ive been itching for simpleplanes. Thanks for checking in! It really means a lot to me, friend.
Hey man, I'm back. It's been a while since you last posted. What's up?
@fleia262 Ooooh, I bet that's gonna look epic when completed. :D
@Boeing777x at the moment I'm working on a redesign of my ww2 bomber Destroyer. After so many civilian passenger liners I felt like doing something a tad different... with bombs 😃
Hello, I'm back. What are you currently doing or working on at the moment?
@fleia262 no problem bro
your plane is actually a masterpiece
@Khanhlam thank you so kindly for the upvote!
@fleia262 no problem 😄
@Tankistrus37 thank you for upvote!
@fleia262 no problem
@ThomasRoderick thank you kindly for the upvote friend!!
He is very handsome, friend, I love the handling and the finish, and besides, it is a big plane !!! Good job
@fleia262 The pleasure’s all mine, buddy. And I’m glad you figured that problem with the thrusters out, As for the final statement, that right there is pretty much what I meant when I said 4 decker flying boat, for that specific purpose. 😉
@Sergio666 thank you so much for the upvote and the spotlight! I'm so glad you like this one 😊
@Wibbley thank you the upvote friend im very glad you like this build
@Erc90F4RU thank you so much for the upvote and spotlights 😊🙏
@Boeing777x thank you! The biggest struggle was getting her into the air from the water without adding entire subassemblies (why i lazily just put in thrusters). My 4 decker will be made for water operation from the get-go, so I know the part count will increase by a lot. But im entirely pleased so far with this bird's stability.
Man, I really have to say, that I'm really impressed by how this big girl is turning out. ;) And I'm looking forward to seeing this plane be decorated as well as seeing the even bigger 4 deck flying boat you said you plan on doing in the future. :)
