The Flying Boxcar, first flown in 1947, is known for its heavy lifting capabilities. Used in Korea and Vietnam, the C-119 could get anything anywhere, with some AC-119s serving as gunships. Many remain in civilian use today as large bushplanes, with some modified aircraft having a jet engine atop the fuselage.
