The Albatros J.I was a German ground-attack aircraft introduced in 1917. Its primary role was to provide low-altitude reconnaisance and infantry support with its downward-facing machineguns. It was fairly impressive despite its problems with the armor protection for the pilot and observer being inadequate. However, pilots liked the good visibility and thought the armor protection was a great benenfit. This specific plane was a Autria-Hungary plane designated J.400/17.
The plane is easy to fly and takeoff, landing is very difficult however.
