Hello fellow builders
This is a simple challenge for you lot. You must build an aircraft that is capable of operating in arctic conditions, Antarctica for instance.
How you choose to make your aircraft is up to you, as long as it complies with the rules.
I want to see those creative juices flowing people, so get out there and build!
As a 'starting point', something I would personally make is a small plane for arctic exploration.
Rules:
Your entry must look like it's capable of operating within the arctic. Skis are quite obvious, but there can be other features, like ways to stop quickly, seeing as you would be landing on snow and ice.
Your entry must be capable of carrying passengers (at least 4, including the pilot), cargo or both. You can make a military or civilian aircraft, which can also be an airline/cargo transport serve (or something else) that happen to fly to arctic locations.
Your entry can either be a plane, rotorcraft or some kind of VTOL/VSTOL aircraft. You are allowed to use whatever powerplant you wish, however at least one engine must be present.
Part count can not exceed 1100 and can not go below 250. Any build that does go below 250 will have a reduction in points. There is a limit of 210 before they are outright disqualified. Same goes for the max part count. Limit is 1140.
Only XML modding is allowed. No mod parts. Unlimited fuel is also not allowed.
Performance must be as realistic as you can make it. The build must be able to fly.
You can have a max of 2 entries. You must not use anyone else's build either.
Whilst I encourage making a new build, I will allow a remake of a previous build, so long as it has significant improvements.The controls must be listed in the description. If you have buttons/switches/levers that are variable linked to rotators and such, they must be tool-tipped and there should be a mention of this in your description.
Entries must be a successor of this post. If it doesn't allow you or you 'forget', you should be able to tag a moderator on your build to help.
Judging:
I will be judging each entry out of 10 based on:
-Design
The design of your build, the accuracy of replicas and the
creativity of fictional builds.
-Performance
Speed, manoeuvrability, etc.
-Detail
The paint scheme, decals, etc.
-Build quality
The quality of the build.
-My impressions
Exactly what it says.
-Presentation
The thumbnail, description, images in said description and so on.
I judge each entry separately, including multiple entries from one user. Meaning if you submit more than one entry, they are judged like they are from two separate users.
Deadline is 1st July, 2022!
Rewards:
1st place: 25 upvotes
2nd place: 15 upvotes
3rd place: 11 upvotes
- Each entry gets one upvote
- If it's a collaboration project (Make sure I know this), the builders will share the reward.
Have fun!

@GoldenArrowCO
Soon.
When are the results going to be out?
@Hannyboy maybe you should check your damper or suspension
@Yourlocalhuman my landing gear keeps making my plane point up I remove and drag and collision stuff and funky tree coding but still fail.
@Hannyboy what is your problem?
Well I didn’t finish it my landing gear is so bad that I gave up bruh I’m not a good funky tree guy
Plenty of time, I may join.
I’m having a hard time with my landing gear. Might me finish in weeks I guess?
Me building a bt-67 be like:
my entry should be finished in a couple days
@FeatherWing thats bad
@GoldenArrowCO
What..? It doesn't have to just be a cargo transport aircraft. And as far as I know, the only times cargo has been transported on the outside of an aircraft was with the 747 and AN-225. That doesn't mean you can do that though.
Hi! I’ve read it can be only cargo, so can it carry stuff on the outside like attached on the fuselage or it can only have an internal bay? Because I want it to be weird
@JustMiko
You can, but just as a personal suggestion (you don't have to listen to me), you could add either functional or completely aesthetic retractable skis. As an example, look at the BT-67 Basler with skis.
Can only wheels be used instead of ski's?
@Bernkastel
I guess, as long as something about it says that it can operate in the arctic circle.
Can it be an attacker yet can land on cold places like this too?

What a great build
I'll give it a try but don't expect too much considering my skills aren't good enough to do 250 parts
this is interesting, I might join.

@Brayden1981
Not really, as it's not your own build.
@bruhmoment99
Skis in SP, when attached to planes, always have flattened wheels on the bottom.
@MrSilverWolf
Wheels can be used. Floats, yes (though i don't know where a float plane would go...). I think so it remains relevant to the title, I'm limiting to the Arctic Circle.
