ABOUT HXN5K

Hxn5k AC drive passenger diesel locomotive, designed and produced by Qishuyan plant in 2016, is a new generation of 160km / h Passenger diesel locomotive in China. The locomotive is formed by reconnecting two locomotives, with maximum operating power of 2 x 3530kw and maximum speed of 170km / h.
Hxn5k AC drive passenger diesel locomotive is composed of two single cab locomotives. The internal corridor structure is adopted in the locomotive, and the independent cab structure with elastic installation is adopted in the cab.

The locomotive adopts 2 (CO-CO) axle type, with axle load of 23t and wheel diameter of 1250mm. The maximum speed is 170km / h and the continuous speed is 47.5km/h (without power supply). The maximum starting traction force is 2 x 245.5kn, and the continuous traction force is 2 x 210.5kn (without power supply).
The locomotive adopts AC drive and microcomputer control technology, traction and auxiliary drive adopt IGBT traction converter with integrated main and auxiliary, and the diesel engine is r12v280zj. The power of diesel engine is 3530kw. The train has the function of train power supply, with the power of 2 x 400KW.
