ERCO Ercoupe ________________10,000 Points
In just one month I have doubled my points, from 5,000 to 10,000. I have only been playing for two. I am continually astounded by how many points I get to. Of course, I couldn't have gotten this far without help, but I have had help from too many people to even count, much less remember and write. Thank you all, even if I've forgotten you. The list would be a mile long, I'm sure.
This speech is not as grand or as easy to write as the last one, so I'll keep it short. I am quite optimistic about my chance of getting 25,000 points. It seems much more attainable now.
It's been fun most of the time and occasionally unpleasant. I understand, now, the pressures of being a gold user, except they're probably worse for me because everyone expects gold users to build giant, fancy planes and I have no idea how. I have no idea how I got this far and I know some users don't think I deserve this many points, but they might just be jealous.
For my plane, I have updated and improved my ERCO Ercoupe. I replaced the tail and engine, unsized the horizontal and vertical stabilizers, re-balanced it, fixed the punched-wing problem, and increased the speed. It is very stable, but be careful when turning and don't turn too fast, or it will jerk and flip upside down. Same with trying to pull up too fast. When taking off, let it gather speed before you pull up. When landing, cut the power to 7% a little ways in front of the end of the runway, then turn it all the way off when you reach it. Brake in pulses.
To think it all started with a small, blue swing-wing. That wasn't my first plane; my first plane accidentally got overwritten, but it was my first uploaded plane. I have come a long way from there. I'm not the best builder, but I'm good enough for me.
