The EF-111A Raven was an electronic warfare aircraft derived from the F-111A Aardvark, and was introduced by the US Air Force in the 1980s. It was developed as a replacement for the aging EB-57 and EB-66. A total of 42 F-111 Aardvark airframes were converted into EF-111 Raven aircraft. The Raven retained the F-111A's navigation systems and was equipped with advanced electronic countermeasures capabilities, it played a crucial role in electronic warfare operations during its service. The Raven was eventually retired in the 1990s after the creation of the HARM that was implemented on F-16A Fighting Falcons.
