The WB-12 was originally a WW2 era bomber that was converted to a water bomber/tanker. All guns and war tech has been removed in favour of modern avionics, including the bomb bay being completely resigned in order to incorporate the 17,000 litres of fire retardent or water. The tanker aspect of the aircraft never saw much action as aircraft more suited to the role were chosen in favor.
