History


The S-300 "Favorite" is a Soviet and Russian anti-aircraft missile system capable of destroying targets at a distance of up to 200 km. It was developed in 1975 and is still in service with many countries, and also takes an active part in the fight against terrorism, acting on the side of the Syrian army

The S-300 "Favorite" uses Antey missiles, the latest modifications of which can accelerate to 8.5 times the speed of sound! The complex is installed on the Soviet and Belarusian military off-road tractor MAZ-7310. All-wheel drive and 8x8 wheel arrangement make this car extremely passable in almost all road conditions

    @xNotDumb depending on what "big city" means to you. The tractors themselves are made either at the plant in Minsk, or at the plant in Kurgan. Well, the installations on them are set, it seems, somewhere in the Urals. I can't say more precisely, this information is not in the public domain, the car is still relevant. However, such installations are located near cities, near the borders. For example, not far from the borders with Finland near Kronstadt or near Sevastopol
