This was an experiment to see if you can make a shay gear train in SP. It you don’t know what a Shay locomotive is, it is one of three major classes of locomotives that were powered by gears. All three classes (Shay, Climax, and the Heisler) were mainly used for transporting goods near mountains because of the immense power they have and their ability to start uphill due to their immense power. These locomotives are slow(their max speed is aroun 10, 15 mph at best), this locomotive goes 3-4 mph, which although is slower than normal, it is an experiment.
