The North American Aviation XB-70 Valkyrie was the prototype of the B-70 nuclear-armed, deep-penetration strategic bomber for the U.S. Air Force's Strategic Air Command. North American Aviation designed the Valkyrie bomber as a large, six-engine aircraft capable of reaching Mach 3+ while flying at 70,000 feet; these speed and altitude capabilities would allow the evasion of interceptor aircraft, the only effective weapon against bomber aircraft at the time.

In 1961, improved, high-altitude surface-to-air missiles (SAMs), the U.S. Air Force's doctrinal change to low-level penetration bombing, the large development costs of the B-70 program, and the introduction of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) to the U.S. nuclear arsenal, led to the cancellation of the B-70 program.

The XB-70 used compression lift, which was generated from a prominent wedge at the center of the engine inlets that created a shock wave below the aircraft. Unique among aircraft of its size, the outer portions of the wings were hinged, and could be pivoted downward by up to 65 degrees. This increased the aircraft's directional stability at supersonic speeds, shifted the center of lift to a more favorable position at high speeds, and strengthened the compression lift effect.

This is among the larger planes I have built and may be plagued with the auto-destruction bug when flown at the lowest settings on mobile devices. As a high altitude, high speed bomber, the B-70 was not an agile aircraft. As such, neither is this replica.

I know a lot of pilots here like to land aircraft, so I built this one with retractable gears. The trade-off, however, is very low ground clearance and a very high level of difficulty wit regards to landing.

I tried adding a detachable nuke within the plane, but encountered a weird bug that prevented any acceleration on the ground.

I asked you to build this plane because of it's unusual but beautiful shape. You seriously did an amazing job. This last week of plane releases from the community has been with out a doubt the best one since the game released in part because of you.

Another great plane! It's like my birthday when you upload a plane:) I think it's cool that you chose less popular planes! As always, amazing attention to detail and flight characteristics! Keep up the great work:)

Allstarship, it's a structural stability bug that occurs occasionally on low settings.
