M.Corp 152mm Pattern 1903 Naval/Coastal Gun
245k EternalDarkness
2.7 years ago
A 152mm gun, in case anyone needs one. It's a bit heavy on the part count, but it's pretty accurate, down to the recoil travel, rate of fire, and muzzle velocity.
This gun is heavily based on Russian 152mm 45 caliber Pattern 1892, seen on most of the Russian cruiser and battleships, including protected cruiser Aurora.
Gun is trained with camera and elevated with Throttle. Both rotators are visible, so you can adjust the input to suit your needs.
If you decide to use this gun on your builds, credit is mandatory.

@Garuda dobrodošao na SimplePlanes. Ovo je jednostavan, brzinski projekat, ali mi je drago da ti se sviđa.
I love it, and just to say, all the best from brata iz Srbije , Im a new member here,just found this game so didn't know how else to contact you
@EternalDarkness literally the best man
@Terminator2809 since you have failed to read it, I'll paste it here for you:
"You have been permanently banned from PortSP for persistent immature and disruptive behavior, having been warned far too many times.
Sad to see you go, it's not us, it's you.
kind wishes
EternalDarkness"
@EternalDarkness i didn't
@Terminator2809 You had a message accompanying the ban.
@EternalDarkness why was i banned?
@EternalDarkness hm.. k
@IceCraftGaming it's heavy for what it is. Actually for what it was meant to be. The build it was made for was supposed to hold twelve of them, along with assorted smaller guns, and other things a protected cruiser should have. Over one thousand parts just for the main guns would be a bit excessive.
"Part heavy"
jk, nice build
Cool build.
@Lerkov1991 it's an abandoned build. It was made over a year ago, and I don't want to update it to the current standard. You can play with it though. Here it is.
@EternalDarkness I saw you posted a pickup truck but deleted it. When will I see her again? is that I would like to see something like the Zastava NTV.
@EternalDarkness Yeah it would be like a Sturmtiger with a 30 second or more reload and two stage ammo. The ISU-152 and the like did have manual loading and two stage ammo, but they as you said had different guns with lower velocities (though the ISU-152's gun isn't too slow for what it is)
@asteroidbook345 the usual rule is that a 120mm gun can be reloaded by hand using the casing (shell and propellant as one unit). 130mm is a stretch. 152mm either requires a two-piece payload (separate shell and propellant) or an ammo hoist. Keep in mind that mass increases cubically. Shell for a 122mm gun is around 20kg, shell for a 152mm is around 40kg, up to a bit over 50kg.
@EternalDarkness The Japanese were pretty fond of putting naval guns on tanks, but yeah it would be impractical. The IS-2's 122mm gun had a very very long reload and this one's would probably be longer.
@asteroidbook345 this is not a low velocity gun you see om ISU-152 or KV-2. This is a 6t high velocity naval gun.
The biggest gun fitted to a tank during WW2 and in the late 40s was a 130mm high velocity gun, and even that showed significant drawbacks. It has a fairly low rate of fire, even though is was a later gun, it has too much recoil, too much weight, ammunition is way too big and heavy, it needs too many people to operate...
Technically, you can fit this gun to an armored chassis, but you won't achieve anything with it. It's a naval gun.
@EternalDarkness Well, sure, but it's theoretically possible. Slightly newer gun, heavier soviet hull (KV? T-28?), it's not completely out of the question
@asteroidbook345 just because it happened in Japan doesn't mean it happened in real life (:
Besides, that's a 12cm gun. This is 15.2cm gun.
Oh you know I just remembered the Ro-Go Experimental tank destroyer used a 12cm cannon from 1898, so I guess theoretically by the 30s-40s they could have mounted this on a tank, it would just be an open top or casemate type thing
@GabrielFangster70 yeah, I have slowed down quite a bit lately. I have some better builds under construction, this was supposed to be just a detail for one I gave up on.
It’s already been a a while since this guy posted something M.corp stuff
I would love to use this on a TD. But the credit is mandatory part is hilarious tho understandable. And heavy part count isn't 87 parts, at least not in a tank.
@EternalDarkness Oh
UNderstandable
