DC-8-55F (MAPA challenge)
Hi there, this is my contribution to the MAPA Challenge, a mid replica of a DC-8, specifically the one used by Flight 028 Lineas Aereas del Caribe Colombia that crashed in Paraguay in 4th february 1996. Why did I make a plane based on an accident? ehh I don't know I just saw the opportunity to make my first big plane and remembered this incident so...
H I S T O R Y
Simplified down, the plane took off(3 crew members, 1 passenger) and when climbing the veteran pilot throttle down one of the engines to see the reaction of the rookie pilot(while still climbing) and the young pilot did not act on time and another engine was shut off, the plane now climbing with half power, stalled and crash 2km away from the Airport, not only that, it crashed on a sport event where more civilians were playing and watching, causing the death of further 18 civilians. No survivors in the aircraft. Note this is the worst aerial accident to ever happen on Paraguayan Soil and Airspace. I hope it's not controversial or anything.
Please ignore my typos on the aircraft instructions >.<
