Developed at the tail end of the Second world war during the fall of Germany, the Garuda was the first aircraft developed by South American Forces to rely on Air to Air ordiance over machine guns, however, the F-81 was unable to be produced enough to be shipped to Germany before the Columbia Treaty was in effect.
