Thanks, @AnthB
Very sleek looking!👍🏽
@Belloaka You mean the first photo in the description? That's the regular map, just with some shaders applied using ReShade. There's a link on my profile.
Haw did you get the cool looking background?
Cool Bild!
No, thank you, i wish i could someday build jist as good, but that will be hard on mobile. @SledDriver
Thank you, @bang091, I appreciate the support. You're a good guy.
They will always be my upvote! @SledDriver
Thanks, @bang091, I'm glad you like my builds. And don't worry, I don't plan to stop any time soon. I build because I enjoy it, not to get anyone's approval -- so even if my upvotes drop to zero, I'll still be building.
@Othawne the pyramids were build by Jewish slaves.
@SledDriver, keep up the good work my friend. You are an awesome builder. Please keep making these planes. I love the jagged design of this aircraft, also, these are some of the nicest shaped and best flyig aircraft i have seen on this game.
Thanks, @ChristianFennell
@JangoTheMango In that case, go for it.
@JangoTheMango Since you're on Windows, you can use shaders (via Reshade) to enhance the look of your game, and of course in-game screenshots. A lot less work than photo editing. A link to my shaders is on my profile, at the end.
@JangoTheMango
To me, an argument is an opportunity to either help someone see the truth, or be shown the truth by them -- it's a win-win situation. But to most people, it's about winning and ego preservation, whether they're right or wrong. Lost an argument? No problem, just label the other person something negative (nasty, bully, egomaniac, etc.) so you can discard the fact that they were right, and your ego remains unbruised.
Second, there's this thing called projection, where the person is so self-centred that they attribute their own thoughts and motives to everyone around them. So I use an example of picking a fight with the Hulk, in the sense that "if you don't like outcome X, don't start a situation where outcome X is guaranteed." But the other person chooses to interpret it as "I'm the Hulk, hurr durr, behold my ego," which says everything about them and nothing about me.
Anyway, I'm glad you find this build interesting. Experimenting with different forms is what gave me my current understanding of the SP flight model. Your builds are quite good as well and have a unique style which is great, although I think presenting them against a detailed background makes it hard to see the details on the build itself. If you used a less cluttered background and zoomed in on the build a little, I think you'd get more attention.
@TheBlueRobotProduct Hmm, probably not.
@SledDriver Freaking sweet. Do you have plans to open this program up to the public? I'd love to mess around with something like that!
@Othawne It's not harassment, it's sass-assment. eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
@SledDriver Another harassment to add to the list. And my life is perfectly fine thank you. Also i assume you're ''Hulk'' Bit of an ego there.
@TheBlueRobotProduct Yeah, because in one dimension you can only control the cornerTypes of the fuselage blocks, which limits the kind of shapes you can make in one go. You only have full control over two dimensions, partial control over the third. So you couldn't ever do a full-featured 3D modeling interface like in CAD software like 3DS Max, Maya, Modo or SolidWorks without changing the game engine fundamentally. I wouldn't even want to think of implementing one of those interfaces on mobile, it's simply not possible. So if there's ever a game that lets you create your airplanes out of meshes or NURBS or whatever, it would only be able to run on high-end desktop computers. It would be one hell of a game, though. It could be the first game in which players actually evolve the game itself by creating increasingly-complex vehicles. You'd make it so they would be able to tweak the AI, so they could script missions, create short movies, etc.
There are multiple versions of my program, or multiple programs if you prefer. Most of them are parametric functions that generate things like nose cones, smoothly curved sections, hollow cylinders, etc.
@SledDriver Great job, and I meant whether the model was depicted 2D style, thus why the main body has more stuff going on 'flat' as it were, but I'm just an idiot who can't get his thoughts outta his head. Anyhows, never saw those before, were they made by the same program?
Sorry, just curious. :P
@TheBlueRobotProduct Yes, I wrote a bunch of programs. Not sure what you mean by 2D or 3D. The output is clearly 3D, but it doesn't have a 3D user interface if that's what you mean.
As for your other question, I'm not sure what a 'plane looking plane' means to you. Is this or this a plane looking plane?
@SledDriver Did you make your own program to generate these? Is it based on a 2d plane or a 3d one? Could you theoretically make a 'plane' looking plane using this?
@Othawne
So you asked me a question, and I answered it comprehensively (and politely, and humorously), and that constitutes harassment? Thanks, I can always use a good hearty laugh.
It's a bit like an average wimp picking a fight with the Hulk, then complaining that he got bruised.
> You could've just said ''Not for me no''
I'm sure you'd like everyone to behave in a way to protect your fragile ego, but the world, and especially I, aren't here to accommodate you.
For your own sake, I hope you toughen up a great deal, or life is going to be very... hurtful for you.
@SledDriver Indirectly harassed me, by writing four separate answers to bring a point that i'm dumb & you're not. You could've just said ''Not for me no''
I'm glad you enjoy my work, @Alpha029
@SEVEN7H Yep, you'd be surprised at just what you can do with fuselage blocks.
@BusterShortWolf Look at the timestamps... it took a few minutes.
