STOL Challenge [CLOSED]
What is a STOL aircraft?
A short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft is a conventional fixed-wing aircraft that has short runway requirements for takeoff and landing. Many STOL-designed aircraft also feature various arrangements for use on airstrips with harsh conditions (such as high altitude or ice). STOL aircraft, including those used in scheduled passenger airline operations, have also been operated from STOLport airfields which feature short runways.
Some Examples:
Many fixed-wing STOL aircraft are bush planes, though some, like the de Havilland Canada Dash-7, are designed for use on prepared airstrips; likewise, many STOL aircraft are taildraggers, though there are exceptions like the PAC P-750 XSTOL, the Quest Kodiak, the de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter and the Peterson 260SE. Autogyros also have STOL capability, needing a short ground roll to get airborne, but capable of a near-zero ground roll when landing.

More STOL planes list:
There are quite a number of STOL aircraft in the above link/list, which stated form famous German WW2 aircraft Fieseler Fi 156 Storch (1936) to the latest electric plane like Electra EL-2 Goldfinch (2023).
RULES:

AWARDS
- The Top 3 players will get 10 upvotes + 3 spots
I may follow you if I am interested in your work. As I am ranked 6 on this site, I could spotlight almost all of you except if you are from those 5 seniors above me.
EVERY DECENT BUILD WILL GET AN UPVOTE, and Notable ones will get a SPOT as soon you upload. I could not help if you become a winner, but you do not have enough planes in your collection to upvote.
DEADLINE; August 27th - midnight New York Time!
MY EXAMPLE: (You don't need to follow)
VTOL max, and throttle 100% - maximum speed
VTOL min, and keep throttle at 100% - reverse thrust
(applying the backward force on the plane, don't over do it, otherwise the plane will stall)
Norman-BN-3 is made for remote and local airport with short runways. This short take off and landing capability is achieved by manual pitch control on the propellers. Turn on the throttle 100% and VTOL to Maximum for the most powerful pitch and throttle. You will achieve the top speed of 300 mph. When landing, keep the throttle to 100%, but reduce the VTOL to Minimum - so the effect is propellers become pushing the reverse direction and slow down the plane dramatically and come to stop very soon. Pilot, be careful with the pitch control and maintain the airspeed at 130mph to avoid the stall when landing.
VTOL are also welcome!

I will post the prizes/spotlights soon in 1-2 days. Thanks for joining
@GeneralCorpInc thanks for your understanding
@WinsWings no worries, we all are getting occupied at the moment like school, work,... take your time.
Hello friends, I have some urgent things (in good ways though) and so I got delayed in the judging process. I will post the results once I am done. Maybe in a week. Sorry for the lateness. Sept/3/2024
Thank you all for joining.
@WinsWings ok
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 I am working on it
@WinsWings when is the judging happening
Hello. I'm sorry, but can you accept my model a little later? Simpleplanes won't let me upload it to the site.
I will try to make you THE banger in those less 5 days left ;)
5 days to end!
@rorrE you can do it if you want to. Since it is very lite, it does not need a long runway, but it does not really a STOL aircraft.
is Ultralight count as STOL?
if so I'll try to join
This challenge is becoming a tight competition after all, I am seeing some great planes now. Bravo!
@mikoyanster True, since I work full-time, and have family responsibilities, I don't have much free time. But I try to keep this tradition alive for at least once in one and a half months. So that to keep up the spirit and love of the airplanes. by the way, I like your works and collection so much.
@Cookiewinner9 welcome back
Im back from a 2 month rest from simple planes, gonna be my first entry in a while 🙃
