Exactly how do you load the shells in if the loading tray doesn't pan up to the breech?
Also, the loading tray should be exactly the width of the shell so that the shell doesn't roll around during loading.
This reminds me of the S-51. Although that was on the KV-1S hull. They planned to put a 400mm mortar (short barrel) on the hull with outriggers on the left side so it could fire to the right and have some support. Unfortunately, it was realized that the recoil of the mortar, even though it had a short barrel, would destroy the KV-1 chassis.
