During the duration of the First Tor War, the Core Worlds were the frequent target, forcing the Continuum Defense Force to relocate most of their units to defend them. This action led to the subsidiary worlds, collectively known as the Fringe, to quickly fall out of government control. Insurgency became rife in these areas, and pirate groups and rebel organizations slowly gained control of the local populace. The weakened government control also boosted the black market economy, and also gave the bright minds on the wrong side of the Continuum a chance to shine their light. These people formed the first piracy-dedicated company, Timandra Aerospace and built their first product, the DS-01 Grison. Dubbed the "Glass Sword" by it's first users, the Grison had a powerful loadout consisting of 2 plasma scatterguns. 2 ultra-accurate laser cannons and a ballistic gatling, and also had 2 sets of pylons that can hold 3 missiles each. It earned the name "Glass Cannon" due to its very powerful weaponry yet very weak armor and shielding, it has even been reported that one Grison unit was taken down by a single missile hit during one of the raids conducted by a small pirate group. The Grison makes up for that drawback with it's relatively cheap market price and it can also be repaired easily as most of its parts are readily available in the black market.
