|| Read instructions below the description ||
Although not the fastest or longest-range aircraft in its class, the Douglas A-20 series distinguished itself as a tough, dependable combat aircraft with an excellent reputation for speed and maneuverability.
Ex-pilots often consider it their favorite aircraft of the war due to the ability to toss it around like a fighter.The Douglas bomber/night fighter was extremely adaptable and found a role in every combat theater of the war, and excelled as a true "pilot's aeroplane".
This one is painted with the schemes of the 389th BS, 312th BG, 5th AF, USAAF based in the Philippines islands on january 1945.
Enjoy this impressive attack fighter, one of my favourite planes!!

Like the other wing was torn off at where the engine is so it was detached entirely. If I could post a pic I would cus I have the picture @RASEN1914
Lol thanks and I will@RASEN1914
@horatio Like the real plane... The A-20G was designed to fly with only 1 engine and even with half of the wing
Thank you for your comment! I'm still working in other awesome planes :D
Check my other designs as well
This plane is so good I flew with half a wing missing with only a single engine half of the opposite horizontal stabilizer on and the remaining engine on half power. I landed her on her belly successfully. The yak nine that shot me up ran off thinking I’m dead
@RASEN1914 not sure about the realistic ammo load...try it out and see, I’m thinking about doing the same thing on my F-100 build for an air to ground version
@ChiChiWerx I went to wikipedia (and other websites) to determine the statistics of weapons ... in this case Browning Machine Gun AN / M2. The spread that I set is watching some videos of the airplane replicas, like War Thunder videos.
The BurstCount and BetweenBursts is fictional, this plane can not be recharged in flight ... but it's not fun to shoot 1,400 rounds only, don't you think? :P
So I've put a 100 BurstCount and a slightly fast recharge time per gun.
Do you think I should make the planes with realistic ammunition? Hmmm ~_~
If I may ask you a couple of more questions concerning modifying guns in SP?: What units are you using for muzzle velocity? The default value is "800", but is that meters per second? I see you changed yours to "890". Also, how did you determine burstCount and timeBetweenBursts and why did you go for .7 on the spread? Thanks in advance!
@ChiChiWerx @AdlerSteiner Thank you very much!!!
Yea, it shoots like the real one, i have seach the bullet spread, the bullet speed, and some other stats... and i try to capture that in the game!
I'm glad you noticed that, i've try to make it as realistic as possible...
Great build, very fun to fly...strafing ability against convoy vehicles is impressive and satisfying. I assume you reduced bullet spread? Anyway, great replica build!
That is one terrifying skull to cross over
Sweet beans
@RASEN1914 np
This place needs more inter-war planes, like the buffalo, the Hawks, Nakajima A4N and such. Mind making some of the more primary planes of each nation? Keep in mind to keep the part count below 300, Thanks.
@Warhammer55 @Roswell Thank you!
Kool!
:O
@RASEN1914 , There is a lot of detail. Your work is very impressive .
@Trainzo Thank you! Have fun with it! :)
Very nice job . Good replica .
