About Air Ostrava

AIR OSTRAVA was a Czech airline. It was founded on January 1, 1994 by Vítkovice under the name AIR VÍTKOVICE. On April 12 of the same year the company was sold to JOB AIR and on May 19 the name was changed to AIR OSTRAVA. And the seat was transferred from Ostrava to Mošnov. The Chemapol Group became the owner on May 15, 1995. The company took over five Let L-410 aircraft and started flying the Ostrava - Prague route, which flew up to four times a week. Later, after leasing new aircraft, the company expanded its routes from Ostrava to Verona, Amsterdam and, for example, Nuremberg. In 2000, the company stopped all flights and declared bankruptcy.
