F-91A Fireflash

The F-91A Fireflash is a mid-to-late 1950's era carrier based fighter that takes design ques from real world fighters of the same time such as the Grumman F9f Panther and Cougar.
The F-91's design lends it to carrier operations well, with the strong landing gear absorbing hard landings and the straight wings with large flaps creating a steady and slow decent to land. In addition to these features, there is a pair of clam shell airbrakes on the rear fuselage to aide in approach speed control.
Lastly, to land on modern carriers the Fireflash has an arrestor tailhook (AG3) to quickly come to a stop.
The large round fuselage provides for a roomy cockpit for the pilot and a large aircraft and terrain tracking radar system. A large modified Blasto J50 engine producing 19,670 pounds of thrust at full emergency power sits in the aft of the fuselage with a small internal fuel tank in front of it. The other two internal full tanks are located inside the wings.
With most of the internal space taken up by the engine, the aircraft has two large detachable wingtip tanks (AG 1) to add extra loiter time and combat range.
The Fireflash puts this onboard radar to good use by having two Guardian close range missiles onboard to complement its four nose mounted cannon.

The cockpit of the aircraft takes full advantage of the new update with functioning controls for the aircraft and its systems. I don't own any VR equipment so i don't know if everything is set up for that yet, but all of the controls are there and functioning in the base game with a mouse and keyboard.

A pait of Firestreaks patrols in close formation over Wright island looking for targets.

After firing both rockets, a F-91A maneuvers in close and fires all guns on the invading target.

A hard but good landing on the USS Beast after a tough fight.
