Lore

Overview

The M770 Stratos was originally developed under Antares Aerospace's LSTAR program, which sought to place Antares, which had recently rebranded from their "Antares Aviation" name, back on the international market. The M770 sought to compete with other wide-body airliners of the time, like the Airbus A330 and Boeing 767. Despite seeing minor successes, the M770 never became as prominent as the A330 or the 767. However, it did draw the eyes of the Lykanian Air Force. Many M770s were purchased and converted into E770 AWACS and K770 tankers.

Operational History

The M770 first entered service with CascadiAir in 1998. By 2003, 357 Gen 1 M770s were flying with various carriers. In 2007, Antares signed a contract with the Lykanian Air Force in order to produce 150 M770s with the intent of being modified into various military-capable versions. The first and only accident of the M770 occurred on March 9th, 2010, when a Gen 1 cargo M770 suffered a catastrophic failure, causing it to crash into a mountainside southern Jindai. In 2015, Antares announced the Gen 2, designated as the M770-2.

Gameplay

Here's a little project I made out of boredom. I got bored of fighter jets, ships, and failed attempts at tanks, so I made an airliner. It's not my first, but it's certainly my best so far. I've finally wrapped up the Keraunos, as well, so I'll finally clear my backlog and get back to making original builds. That's it for this one. I'll let y'all use it for free, maybe see some cool liveries and variations.
