A-19 Skyskipper

DESIGN:

This is an odd looking aircraft. I quite fancy aircraft that stand out. This would never even been considered for adoption, but a man can wish.

For the design, I choose the role of the A-4 Skyhawk, and the design was inspired by it. Of course, other aircraft effected the design, such as the Eurofigher Typhoon for the back of the aircraft and the Viggen/Gripen for the frontal shape and how the intake curves, along with the nose and canards. Finally, the MiG 15 influence the tail, including the parts that pitch on it.

The canopy is ugly, but I have uglier, and in truth, I like the glass behind the pilot, even if in that era, it wouldn't be really realistic.

Oh, yes. I did my best to make it Vr compatible, but I cannot confirm this.

@Conjure76 No problem! I tried to make my craft based off the Skyraider but very different at the same time. They look strikingly similar, but the GB-4 has a shorter fuselage, lowered gull wings from the Corsair, and landing gear pods to make room for structural reinforcements for the pylons. Also it’s not naval. But I think i did good basing it largely off of it. Btw, now we have to be clear about saying the Skyraider. Because the glorified weaponized cropduster just abandoned the name Skywarden for Skyraider 2.

@B1BLancer Thanks! I would have assumed it's just like an annoying discord ping.

As a side note, I would like to say I quite like the look of your newest craft, which, as you note, is inspired from the A-1. However, your version stays true to form, just seams to be more in a COIN-OPS sort of thing, while mine's seems more like a death trap. I might use that gear configuration one day. Once again, thanks.

@Conjure76 its tagging. So when someone sees a teaser or something, they comment “T”. The person who makes the post will then tag them on that post when it’s published like this: @B1BLancer . There are things like auto tag lists that I and many others have. It’s a forum post where you can ask to be tagged on every aircraft they will publish afterwards.
    So an example:
You post a teaser forum post for an upcoming F15 replica, @B1BLancer comments T. You would then tag them in the comments of the teased post when it’s published.

Oh, I have one more question.

Sometimes people go into the comments (like right now) and begin to @ people. Can anyone please inform me what that means or its purpose?
    Thanks in advance.
