The XF11 was built by Howard Hughes to be a high speed military reconnaisance aircraft. It was powered by two Pratt and Whitney R-4360 or "corncob" engines which, on the first prototype drove 8 blade contraprops. Sadly, on April 5, 1947, the first XF11 proptotype, piloted by Howard Hughes himseld, had a malfuntion with one of the props and crashed into a house. The second prototypes was built, but due the invention of jets, the project was cancelled. The only thing you need to know to fly my plane is that 1 and 2 start the engines and it has a high stall speed so be careful on landings.
