Militia Air Forces, Kensing-Donnelly Air Guard, 1st fighter wing, 48th sqn.
light strike fighter, supersonic trainer
Trainer: Magister
S/F: Katar

The Trinity Conglomerate developed the Katar at the Kunz Lordship's request following a proposal for a single-seat supersonic strike fighter. Trinity began deliveries of the FT9A four and a half years after the original request.

The David Hills Treaty Loophole allowed a "militia" to supplement the limited armed forces. The Katar was marketed primarily to militia forces. Trinity and the Kunz Lordship made limited efforts to convince the Gareth Air Force. The aircraft saw service solely as a militia asset.

Trinity and the Kunz Lordship aggressively marketed the FT9A Katar to other Lordships' Air Guards to maintain Kunz's dominance of the export market. It served primarily as a militia bird. This model flies for the Kinsing-Dunnally Lordship Air Guard's 48th Squadron based at Giaus AGB, North Gate.

Several Lordships' Air Guards used the Katar primarily as a strike fighter, but it was also used to fill the interceptor role in many smaller Lordships.
