Yokosuka-D5Y5 Model-36 "Cherry"

Crew: Pilot, Radio operator, Gunner

Fictional background

The Yokosuka-D5Y5 Model-36 "Cherry" was a competitor of J7W, a dive bomber and a interceptor that was meant to intercept high altitude bombers like B-29 with ease but it was too late for them to put this in mass production scale as they were nearing its defeat with less resources and as a result only 10 prototypes were made and 4 of them were deliberately destroyed in the fear that invasion would cause it to fall in the hands of the Allied powers.
