Backstory

The L&N Sport di Lusso Della Regina Coupe was a car designed in a time when 17ft. landyachts like this were everywhere- so L&N decided to make one. L&N put a V8 in it developing 200hp and, because it was marketed as a luxury car, made the price slightly less than a Cadillac Elderado, at $8,700USD. It was quick for the time and went around 100mph. L&N, when designing the doors, made them too far back for the driver. To fix this issue, they added an extra hinge, making the door open at 180 degrees. It was weird, but worked. With a spacious trunk, you could almost live in it! 3,000 were made from the opening year of 1956 to 1960, when sales declined to about 200 for the 1960 model year. I hope you enjoy!
