USCSS Prometheus VTOL
50.4k Stingray
5.9 years ago
USCSS Prometheus was Weyland Corporation’s FTL flagship in the movie “Prometheus”. This was a futuristic civilian research spacecraft, whose crew discovered some very nasty aliens.
The "Prometheus" crew had to destroy a huge alien juggernaut spacecraft in-air, via a kamikaze collision using full ION Drives.
Simple instructions:
- VTOL mid-bar full power on takeoff,
- Slide VTOL bar full UP for Forward,
- Slide VTOL bar back DOWN to slow down quickly and land on a surface.
- Only when VTOL is full Forward, select ION Drives = Ag 1. (Note, turn ION drives off for landing.)
{Just a Vtol test for fun. This simple build model lands on even, or rough, surfaces during testing, then can take off again and whizz by Snowstone defenses}

@LancasterAce On second thought, the body & spacecraft appear obselete. TRUE. Yet, there are hidden mods that are not obvious from the SP view. I just wanted an old-fashioned spacecraft concept to land on grass, snow, uneven earth, The USS Beast Carrier deck, or an average Jundroo runway. Land and take off easily, and still cruise Jundroo islands like Snowstone. True, a sleek design with hidden wings is entirely possible; just happened this post did not include the New Fashion upgrades.
For example, this was from a year ago, something that I could never get to fly until gyros were supplied as menu items. My builds will never be comparable to PC or android builds that modify properties for entire bodies. I rarely build or post anymore. Thanks anyway, @LancasterAce
Thank you @LancasterAce
Thank you, @SledDriver
Thank you, @Notaleopard
Face huggers sold seperately!
Thx! Checked out your link. Formating and video cuts and more would make any post stand out. This is only for fun, not for max upvotes clearly. Yet, it does land softly on grass, and take off again, and whizz by Snowstone from Wright takeoff locations. Just a test. @Spectre2520

Great VTOL plane btw. It deserves more attention
